Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt left their brood at home and went out for a night on the town on Jan. 26. They hit up The Spare Room at The Roosevelt Hotel, a new bar/restaurant that just opened Jan. 5, and had plenty of games to entertain them.
The Spare Room is a nod back to the 1920s and has two bowling lanes, backgammon tables, board games and classic cocktails. The space is unique — it feels like an original room in the hotel that was discovered when a wall was knocked down. The night Brad and Angie had their date, Elijah Wood was DJ’ing.
The Jolie-Pitts are already setting a celebrity trend. Last night Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Emile Hirsch were all at the LA’s new hot spot.
Do you think Brad or Angie would be better at bowling? And how cute is it that they went to a 50s style parlor?
seeing Orlando carry his baby made me wanna see some photos of Elijah carry babies. Are there any out there?? And/or with tiny kids? I know there are a few convention photos. I would even take manips, if you have/can make any. What a cutie daddy he would make <3 I kind of also need them for icons for a fun rpg in a few weeks.
After much speculation, "Lord of the Rings" star Elijah Wood is now officially set to reprise the character of Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit," his publicist has confirmed to TheWrap. Additionally, Wood has also been set to play Ben Gunn in Stewart Harcourt's adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's adventure novel "Treasure Island."
Steve Barron is directing Sky TV's two-part, four-hour miniseries, which also stars Eddie Izzard.
Wood will next star in FX's new series "Wilfred," and he'll also lend his voice to Disney XD's "Tron: Uprising" and George Miller's "Happy Feet 2," which Warner Bros. is scheduled to release on Nov. 18.
Wood will be at Sundance next month co-starring alongside Seth Rogen and John C. Reilly in Adam Yauch's short film "Fight for Your Right Revisited."
Wood is represented by WME and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
They donned cloaks, pointed ears and hairy feet to play hobbits in the Lord Of The Rings film franchise. But Lost star Dominic Monaghan and actor Elijah Wood couldn't have looked further from their hobbit alter egos today as they smartened up to attend co-star Billy Boyd's wedding in Glasgow, Scotland. The actors both looked suave in their three-piece suits as they posed with a clearly elated Boyd on the steps of converted church Oran Mor after the wedding. Boyd, 42, who is arguably best known for playing Pippin the hobbit in the film trilogy, couldn't hide his delight as he married long-term partner Ali McKinnon in a fairytale ceremony. McKinnon, who is mother to Boyd's four-year-old son Jack, looked stunning in an ivory shift dress with floral detailing, which she teamed with a pair of chic court shoes and a matching hair accessory. According to wedding co-ordinator Louise Turner, the ceremony was 'quite intimate', with just 30 guests attending the actual service, and a further 130 enjoying the reception. Boyd and McKinnon, a ballet dancer and yoga instructor, met when they appeared together in a pantomime in 2002. While Boyd's film career has been relatively quiet since the last installment, Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King, he can soon be seen starring alongside Hayden Panettiere and Alfred Molina in Carmel, the story of an art forger in California. He is also reunited with Lord Of The Rings co-star Sean Astin in upcoming movie The Witches Of Oz, a film which follows a grown-up Dorothy, who is now working as a children's book author. Meanwhile, while the former hobbits' time in the Shire has come to an end, J. R. R Tolkein fans are already gearing up for the release of Peter Jackson's adaptation of Tokein's The Hobbit, which is set to star Martin Freeman as lead Bilbo Baggins. It will also see the return of Cate Blanchett's Lord Of The Rings character Galadriel. Speaking about working with Blanchett, Jackson said recently: 'Cate is one of my favorite actors to work with and I couldn't be more thrilled to have her reprise the role she so beautifully brought to life in the earlier films.' It is also claimed Orlando Bloom is in talks to reprise his role as elf warrior Legolas, while Sir Ian McKellen has so far kept quiet on rumours he may make a return as Gandalf the Grey.
Showmasters have started organising this event for 11th - 13th Nov 2011 in Nothampton England.
They are reminising that it is almost 10 years from the release of the first film and say that Collectormania 4 in Milton Keynes was a landmark for them - they remember the euphoria and excitement (I was there!).
They are trying to get as many of the actors to attend the reunion but even if they don't manage Frodo himself it still look loads of fun e.g Friday night party themes: Bilbo's Birthday, Aragorns Coronation, Eye of Sauron
